A bold, playful and contemporary office design for a Cambridge-based GPS technology company.
When Focal Point secured a newly refurbished office on the 11th floor of Bristol's Castlemead building, they wanted an office design that would reflect their innovative brand while creating a comfortable and practical environment for their team. With stunning views across the city, the space offered an exciting opportunity to create a distinctive workplace that would support collaboration, wellbeing and productivity.
Our office design approach focused on delivering a workspace that was both visually impactful and highly functional. Focal Point wanted a workplace that felt energetic and creative, while remaining relaxed and adaptable to the demands of everyday working life.
Drawing inspiration from Focal Point's branding and the historical connection between navigation and the night sky, the workplace design incorporates subtle references to astrology and celestial mapping. Rich blue and sand colour palettes are combined with metallic finishes and carefully integrated lighting to create depth and character throughout the office. These striking features are balanced with natural timber elements, soft textures and upholstered furnishings to create a welcoming and comfortable working environment.
The completed office design successfully reflects Focal Point's identity while providing a modern, flexible workplace that supports their team and enhances the experience of working within this impressive Bristol office location.
Fully Bespoke.
The kitchen forms the real showpiece of the workplace. Charcoal cabinets are offset with open birch ply drawers, and suspended plywood and oak shelving. Large format terrazzo tiles add a bold playful element, whilst the low level lighting complete the more moody lounge feel. All of the kitchen cabinets and joinery were made fully bespoke to make the most of the space.
